Credits
As a general rule of thumb, our courses offer college/graduate level content with a high school level work load.
Each ten week course is worth one, two, or three credits depending on course load.
The course load for a one credit course is estimated over ten weeks to take 3-5 hrs per week. This includes reading assignments, interacting in discussions, completing quizzes and completing homework. A usual three credit course at a university requires 15-20 hours per week.
Actual work loads will vary from student to student based on their learning styles and learning histories.
The above load guidelines are given to instructors for their course development.
Students can only sign up for three classes maximum per term to insure proper pacing and minimize losing tuition refund.
Grading
Depending on the course you take, our courses are graded on two systems.
1. Completed / Did not complete (DNC).
2. Letter grades tied to percentage ranges.
A = 90% and above
B = 80% - 89%
C = 70% - 79%
D = 60% - 69%
F = 50% and under
All percentage points 0.5 and above are rounded up. All percentage points 0.49 and below are rounded down. E.g. 89.5% would be rounded to 90%. 72.4% would be rounded down to 72%
Cumulative GPA's are calculated for all students.
Students that fail to meet the 50% level or higher will not be considered as having completed the course.
